Coronavirus (COVID-19) update from North West London NHS - 17 July 2020
Published on: 17th July 2020
The easing of restrictions in England over the last couple of weeks has been very welcome and has been received responsibly by most people. But it remains our duty to remind our residents how to stay safe by following government guidance and by using our services in the right way.
We remain in a pandemic and we are doing all we can to keep our patients safe. We are now in a position to resume non-emergency care and we are gradually getting services back up and running, so if you are asked to come to hospital for a procedure that had been delayed by COVID-19, you should attend and it is safe to do so.
Your experience when you contact your GP practice may be different as you may be offered an appointment by telephone or video call. Technology will play its part in making sure you receive appropriate care in some cases. We are asking those who are confident with the technology to support those who are not. This may be an elderly relative or friend.
Wearing face masks in shops and supermarkets in England will be compulsory from 24 July. We bring you the latest information.
The Community Voices project is one key way in which we are addressing inequalities arising from the pandemic. We have an update on the progress of this work.
