Kingsway Surgery
After many years of service, Dr Joseph and Dr Takhar who have been running Kingsway Surgery have made the decision to bring their partnership to an end. As it is the partnership which holds the NHS contract, it means North West London Clinical Commissioning Group has no option but to end the contract. As a result, the North West London Clinical Commissioning Group is putting in place alternative interim arrangements to ensure patient care continues.
North West London CCG has arranged for another Local GP practice to provide this care from 1 April 2022. This is the HESA Medical Centre - located at HESA Primary Care Centre, 52 Station Road Hayes UB3 4DD - and who has been rated Good by the Care Quality Commission for the care and services it delivers for its patients.
The HESA Medical Centre has been commissioned to provide services and take over their care for a maximum of six months. Patients will continue to access services, i.e. be able to book an appointment, consult with a healthcare professional, order and receive their repeat prescriptions as they normally do and from the same premises. The GPs will have access to the patient medical records. Patients will also be able to continue to see many of the staff that worked within the Kingsway Surgery.
We have written to all the practice patients to let them know what has happened and advise them about how the NHS will continue to provide care for them. We have also developed a Q&A.
We are also engaging with patients to get their feedback about how they may want to receive GP services in the future.
Please see the letter to patients.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the CCG on nwlccg.lon-nw-pcc@nhs.net We will endeavour to keep you informed of the changes taking place going forward.
